Is there any more perfect combo than beer and baseball? I can’t imagine a more perfect summer day than sipping on a cold beer and watching the Mariners (hopefully) win. While there are many iconic baseball stadiums out there, I’m grateful the Mariners play at one of the best stadiums – for beer. Long gone are the days of nothing but ultra light lagers. T-Mobile Park offers several independent beers and even a specialty cask beer station.
Most Major League Baseball ballparks offer an extensive list of draft and packaged beers – from big-brands to hyper-local breweries. While overall, seeking out independent beer requires a bit more effort (especially if you’re on the third level at T-Mobile Park), baseball fans are fortunately not stuck with seven innings of Bud Light.

What to Drink at Mariners Games
Some of the best brews available at the T-Mobile Park
I head straight to the cask beer station when I first enter the park. Mainly, because there are some unique and fun offerings at each game, but also because some things will run out. Don’t make the mistake of trying to wash away the sorrow of being down by seven with a specialty cask beer that’s ran out. Get there early and get the goods. The breweries involved in this year’s cask program are Double Mountain Brewing, Maritime Pacific Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Machine House Brewery, Diamond Knot Brewing, Sumerian Brewing, Stoup Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, and more. So clearly, it’s not to be missed. I enjoyed the Founders Dankwood Imperial Red on Opening Day and it was worth the walk to the other side of the park for sure.

New this Season
Along with the new name, the Mariners are rolling out 23 new beers in 2019. Some of those options are Bale Breaker Topcutter (IPA), 10 Barrel Out of Office Pilsner and Pike Kilt Lifter (Scotch ale). Replacing the fan favorite of the $6 can of Georgetown’s Bodhizafa is the Reuben’s Crikey. It looks like it will be offered at more locations this season, making it easier to get that value beer. Another personal favorite of mine is the No-Li Big Juicy IPA, also available at a few different stations. To help you in your quest for beer is the stadium’s Beer Finder, which will tell you where to find the best beers. It’s listed by beer not by location, so it’s easier if you know what beer you’re looking for, then see how close you are.
The 2019 season is bringing some good beer coming to the park:
- 21st Amendment Brewing
- Anderson Valley Brewing
- Alesmith Brewing
- Boneyard Brewing
- Breakside Brewing
- Barley Browns Brewing
- Crooked Stave
- Ecliptic Brewing
- Fort George
- Founders
- Funkwerks
- Georgetown Brewing
- Goodlife Brewing
- Kulshan Brewing
- Melvin Brewing
- Modern Times
- pFriem Family Brewers
- Port Brewing
- Samuel Smiths Brewery
- Stone Brewing
- Stoup Brewing
There’s more than that coming! So pick up a cheap ticket and put that savings towards a nice cask ale because it’s a great time to be a fan of baseball…and beer.
Cheers!
Felicity
